Mujeres trabajadoras limpian las exclusiones de su realidad
“¡Vamos a exigir desde el Congreso, que se haga realidad el Estatuto del Trabajo!” señaló la representante Ángela María Robledo en el II Encuentro Nacional de Trabajo Doméstico, realizado en Medellín el pasado sábado 30 de julio, con el propósito de analizar la implementación del Convenio sobre las trabajadoras y los trabajadores domésticos, 189 de la OIT (Organización Internacional del Trabajo), además de presentar los resultados de la investigación basada en estudios de caso en Urabá, Cartagena y cuatro de sus comunidades rurales, y Medellín: El trabajo doméstico en Colombia, historias tras las cortinas; entre transacciones, incertidumbres y resistencias.
De acuerdo con la presentación de la representante Robledo, una de las congresistas que ha propendido asiduamente por cerrar la brecha de la desigualdad de las mujeres desde la Comisión Legal de la Mujer y la Mesa de Economía del Cuidado, junto con organizaciones sociales, de Derechos Humanos y sindicatos de trabajadores domésticos, deben continuarse los esfuerzos de modificar las leyes enfocando la atención en la deuda que el legislativo tiene respecto al cumplimiento de la Constitución Política de Colombia: no haber desarrollado el Estatuto del Trabajo, misión que deberá llevar a cabo la bancada por la vida y por la Paz.
“Ustedes, mujeres trabajadoras domésticas, cumplen sus labores muchas veces en condiciones no decentes y aun así llegan a su casa a seguir trabajando con tareas del cuidado en sus hogares” destacó la congresista al referirse a la necesidad de pasar del reconocimiento a la redistribución para avanzar, razón por la que se han obtenido logros parciales como la Ley 1788 de 2016 de la prima de servicios para los trabajadores y trabajadoras domésticos; así mismo, de desarrollar el Sistema Nacional de Cuidado que garantice la educación para las niñas y los niños más pequeños, como el cuidado para las personas mayores, con perspectiva de género, étnica y de clase, comprendiendo los factores de discriminación social que persisten.
El trabajo continúa desde el Congreso de la República para que las leyes pasen de los escritorios de los funcionarios a los territorios, con el empoderamiento de la sociedad y la pedagogía para reivindicar la dignidad de las trabajadoras domésticas, porque “el cuidado está en el corazón de las sociedades modernas y postmodernas, y ustedes lo que hacen es cuidar lo más valioso en una sociedad que es la vida” reconoció Ángela María Robledo, además de señalar la necesidad de conquistar “algo que es fundamental en la vida de las mujeres y que su ausencia se ha convertido en otra de las pobrezas del mundo: el tiempo libre”.
El II Encuentro Nacional de Trabajo Doméstico terminó con una declaración de las organizaciones y mujeres aliadas, comprometiéndose a seguir luchando por la dignificación de esta labor y, en general, del trabajo del cuidado que en su inmensa mayoría es hecho por campesinas, afrodescendientes, indígenas, desplazadas, desterradas, migrantes y víctimas de violencias políticas, sociales, económicas, psicológicas, físicas, entre otras, siendo la representante Ángela María Robledo, una de las firmantes.
