Ángela Robledo pide reconocer el aporte de las mujeres al desarrollo del país

La representante a la Cámara y Co presidenta de la Comisión de Paz del Congreso, Ángela Robledo, ha venido insistiendo en que se incluya en el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo un artículo que permita crear un sistema de cuidado que reconozca el aporte de las mujeres a la economía colombiana.
“Las mujeres aportamos con nuestro trabajo de cuidado el 20.4% del PIB en Colombia, lo que significa que más de 135 billones de pesos los ponemos nosotras con un trabajo que ha sido históricamente invisible y no valorado”, dijo la congresista Ángela Robledo de la Alianza Verde.
Robledo ha venido trabajando la economía del cuidado, a partir de la Ley 1413 de 2010, mediante la cual se incluyó el trabajo de hogar no remunerado en el Sistema de Cuentas Nacionales para medir la contribución de la mujer al desarrollo económico y social del país.
“Hemos venido trabajando hace muchos meses en la Mesa de Economía del Cuidado con distintas organizaciones de mujeres, lideresas, líderes, el Departamento Nacional de Estadísticas -DANE, el Departamento Nacional de Planeación –DNP-, la Consejería para la Equidad de la Mujer y el Comité Interinstitucional de Economía del Cuidado (adscrito a la Ley/ 1413/10) para que se establezca una agenda nacional sobre economía del cuidado en cabeza del DNP y con participación de distintas entidades”, señaló Ángela Robledo.
La economía de cuidado incluye todas las actividades materiales y afectivas que implican inversión de tiempo y trabajo destinado a reproducir y cuidar la vida: atención a los menores de edad, los viejos, las personas en situación de discapacidad y que puede ser remunerado o no.
Está demostrado que las mujeres dedican tres veces más tiempo que los hombres a actividades de cuidado no remunerado. En el sector rural las mujeres dedican cuatro veces más tiempo. Reconocer el trabajo de cuidado es un avance en la democratización de la casa, un aporte a la salud física y mental de las mujeres y una cuestión de justicia y equidad con ellas, aseguró la congresista Ángela Robledo.
Datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Uso del Tiempo –DANE- así lo demuestran: la proporción de mujeres que hacen trabajo doméstico no remunerado es un 43% más alto que la de los hombres (90% vs 63%). Mientras las mujeres, dedican seis horas diarias a este trabajo, los hombres dedican 1:50 minutos. Menos del 10 % de hombres hacen mantenimiento de vestuario, frente a un 40% de mujeres. Una de cada cuatro mujeres se dedica al cuidado físico y ni siquiera el 5% de hombres hace esta actividad. La brecha es del 475%.
